Real Madrid superstar Jude Bellingham backs brother Jobe to follow in his footsteps by winning 2024 Golden Ball - but also includes Los Blancos team-mate in three-man shortlist

The England international has had a sensational start to life in Spain after joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund in the summer. Bellingham has already scored 15 times in 17 appearances across all competitions and recently bagged the prestigious Golden Boy 2023 award.

After being named the best young player in the world this year, the midfielder has named three up-and-coming talents who could win the award in 2024. His shortlist consists of his brother Jobe Bellingham, team-mate Arda Guler and former Dortmund colleague Jamie Bynoe-Gittens.

Speaking to Tuttosport, the 20-year-old said: "I'll say three names. First of all, Arda Guler is a phenomenon, we see him training and we are delighted with him. Then my former teammate Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, from Borussia Dortmund. And finally, my brother Jobe, a thoroughbred striker like our father. If Sunderland were to be promoted to the Premier League, watch out for him!"

Jobe currently plies his trade in the Championship with Sunderland and has scored three goals and provided one assist in 18 matches so far in the 2023-24 season. The Black Cats are currently ninth in the league and are three points behind sixth-placed Hull City.

Guler, on the other hand, is yet to make an appearance for Los Blancos since joining them in the summer as he has been plagued with multiple injuries. He underwent knee surgery in August, before picking up a couple of muscle injuries which have kept him sidelined from competitive action.

The former Dortmund star will be next seen in action for his club on Saturday when they face Real Betis in La Liga. Real Madrid will then look ahead to their final Champions League group stage game against Union Berlin next Tuesday, having already qualified for the last 16.
