    A Spanish report said the goalkeeper went to club president Joan Laporta to express his concerns over the 44-year-old's management. He allegedly said some of the squad did not appreciate Xavi calling out players' mistakes, following Barcelona's loss to Girona. However, the 32-year-old has rubbished these claims on social media.

    He posted on X, formerly Twitter: "The story published by 'Barça Reservat' directly attacks my personal values and I will not tolerate someone using my name to create bad vibes based on false information. If I ever want to say or report something, I will always be very direct with the person."

    This comes shortly after the news that Xavi will be relieved of his managerial duties at Barcelona at the end of the season. The former Spanish international is set to be replaced by ex-Bayern Munich boss Hansi Flick, as soon as next week.
