  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Daily Mail reports that Al-Nassr are interested in signing both Casemiro and Wan-Bissaka from United, with football director John Murtough flying to Saudi Arabia to explore the viability of deals with Pro League clubs. Ronaldo and Co are said to be willing to make a huge offer to the Brazilian, who earns over £375,000-per-week, and are also ready to bid for Wan-Bissaka this month, after seeing a £20m ($25.4m) proposal rejected for Tottenham right-back Emerson Royal.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

United would want to receive a fee in both cases, and would hope to recoup some of the £70m ($88.8m) they paid for Casemiro. Ronaldo is said to have encouraged his club to pursue the former Real Madrid star, while Wan-Bissaka has seen talks over a new contract fail to progress, so he may be willing to make the switch to the Middle East.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Casemiro has not played for United since he sustained a hamstring injury in November and he has a contract with the club until 2026. In total, he has made 63 appearances for the Red Devils since arriving from the Spanish capital in 2022.

    WHAT NEXT FOR MAN UTD?

United may well decide to sell both Casemiro and Wan-Bissaka but it remains to be seen if a deal will be agreed in January. They are next in action this weekend in the FA Cup against League Two Newport County.
