Manchester United picked up their first Europa League win of the season on Thursday by beating PAOK 2-0 at Old Trafford. After the game there were some heartwarming scenes as Ozdoev asked United legend Paul Scholes, who was about to go live on television with some post-match punditry, to sign his shirt. The former midfielder was happy to oblige and admitted afterwards Ozdoev had wanted his autograph for his father.

WHAT SCHOLES SAID
Scholes said on TNT Sports: "He [Ozdoev] did [ask for an autograph]. I wasn't sure he'd remember me, it was such a long time ago. But he asked one for his dad, so I obliged. I think I spelled it right as well."

THE BIGGER PICTURE
It's now been over a decade since Scholes hung up his boots for good in 2013 after an incredible career where he won 11 Premier League titles, two FA Cups and lifted the European Cup twice with the Red Devils. Manchester United have failed to win the Premier League during that time but will start a new era on Monday when Ruben Amorim takes over as the club's new head coach after an impressive stint in Portugal with Sporting.
