Liverpool in pole position for Kylian Mbappe! PSG superstar set to REJECT Real Madrid and explore Premier League switch after being left 'unimpressed' by La Liga giants' transfer tactics

Mbappe can leave Paris Saint-Germain in a free transfer after his contract expires at the end of the season. Madrid have long been the favourites to sign him, having made several attempts to lure him to the Spanish capital in recent transfer windows. However, Mbappe is not happy with Madrid setting a deadline on an agreement, The Times reports, and is considering other options - including a Premier League transfer.

Liverpool are seen as Mbappe's most likely destination should he turn down Madrid's advances and pursue a move to England. The 25-year-old has been open about his admiration for Jurgen Klopp's team and PSG see the Reds as the main challengers to the signing of Mbappe.

PSG still hope to persuade the World Cup winner to stay at the Parc des Princes. However, Mbappe has constantly flirted with a move away from the French capital. He looked set to join Madrid in the summer of 2022 but ended up extending his contract at PSG at the last minute. Then, last summer, he informed PSG that he would not activate the option to extend his deal by a further year, until 2025, resulting in him being omitted from the squad for a time. The attacker is now free to negotiate with other clubs over a free transfer in the summer but he insisted recently that there is no agreement in place as of yet.

Liverpool, Madrid and PSG will be awaiting news from Mbappe regarding his future ahead of the expiration of his contract in the summer. The forward will be eager to inspire his current club to Ligue 1 and Champions League success before his possible departure.
