  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Even though Leeds United thoroughly beat Stoke City 6-0, they had to wait until Sheffield United faced Burnley on Monday night before they could confirm their promotion. The Blades were eight points behind the Peacocks with three games left and could have potentially overtaken them. However, a 2-1 loss to second place Burnley ensured that both the Elland Road side and the Clarets will finish in the top two spots.
