Former Fenerbahce boss Jose Mourinho passes absurd milestone in redundancy packages after latest sacking as Special One eyes Premier League return

Jose Mourinho has been handed over €100 million (£87m/$118m) in severance package payments during his illustrious career following his recent departure from Turkish giants Fenerbahce. Jose was bombed out after they failed to progress to the Champions League league-phase after their damaging defeat by Benfica. He was sacked just six games into the league season, but handed a €15 million (£13m/$18m) payoff, which took him past the magic €100m mark. 

Mourinho will always point to the stunning record of winning trophies throughout his career, with multiple league titles, Champions League and domestic cup crowns. He's won big everywhere he's managed, but not at his last two clubs - Tottenham and Fenerbahce. His impressive redundancy payments include:

Mourinho didn't mince his words on being told to vacate his desk at Fenerbahce, he said: "I don't want to talk about it. That's how I am; when it's over, it's over."

The Special One is putting his feet up and considering his options. His family still call London home and he still has that Special One aura, despite the recent spells at Fenerbahce and Tottenham. All eyes on developments at West Ham and Nottingham Forest, where Jose would relish the challenge.
