Harry Kane to Barcelona?! La Liga giants line up England captain as Robert Lewandowski replacement amid rumours of Premier League return

FC Barcelona are plotting a move to sign England captain Harry Kane from Bayern Munich as the La Liga giants look to replace an ageing Robert Lewandowski. At 37, Lewandowski is in the final year of his contract with the Blaugrana and the Polish forward is likely to move away from the club in the summer of 2026. The Catalan giants see Kane as an immediate replacement for their star forward.

According to El Nacional, Barcelona sporting director Deco is ready to table a lucrative offer to lure Kane away from Bayern next summer as the Catalan side see the English star as a replacement for Lewandowski. Kane has displayed exceptional form since joining Bayern in 2023 and is now nearing the 100-goal landmark for the Bundesliga giants.

At 32, Kane will bring experience along with excellent goal-scoring prowess to the Blaugrana next year. The Three Lions star is also liked by Hansi Flick, who feels that Kane will be a perfect fit for his system.

The report adds that Barcelona also have their eyes on French defender Dayot Upamecano, who becomes a free agent next summer. Flick desperately wants a new central defender to bolster his backline and will be happy to welcome the France international.
