Dele has failed to live up to the promise he showed at Tottenham in the early parts of his career under Pochettino. The England international starred with Spurs before injuries, lack of form, and off-field problems slowed down his career before he left the North London side and moved to join Everton. However, he struggled for form with the Toffees as well and his career looked to hit a major stall.

Dele has now joined Serie A newcomers Como and is training with Cesc Fabregas' side, and has only managed one appearance so far. To this day, Pochettino remains the coach under whom Dele has accrued the most minutes, and the midfielder has now reported how the now USMNT boss got the best out of him at Tottenham.

Speaking to Como TV, Dele said: "I think Poch, what he just said to me was to be myself, and it wouldn't be so much words of advice. It was more like he just kind of allowed me to be like myself on the pitch."

WHAT NEXT FOR DELE?
With the season almost over, Como are currently 13th in the Serie A standings, and it is likely that they will continue to play in the Italian top tier next season. The Italian side currently has avery mixed squad with youngsters and veteran working together and Dele has reported that he is keen on continuing to help the squad develop.
