The Daily Star states if United win the Europa League, with Ruben Amorim's men currently in the semi-finals, Casemiro will receive a 25 per cent pay rise due to a clause in his contract. The report states that the midfielder will see his wages rise to around £500,000-a-week - which is what club legend Cristiano Ronaldo got during his second spell at Old Trafford.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
While Casemiro had a good first season at United, the 33-year-old has not lived up to his hefty wages and huge £70 million ($88m) transfer fee from Real Madrid in 2022. The veteran has been heavily criticised by pundits for his displays, and it seems he is on the decline, with the club said to be keen on moving him on soon. So to potentially receive this huge wage hike would be quite telling about the Red Devils' state of affairs.
DID YOU KNOW?
The report states this could cause a problem for United, who may yet sell Casemiro to the Saudi Pro League, with head coach Amorim being asked to slash the wage bill by minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
