Barcelona face Man City in Hansi Flick's debut before Clasico clash against Real Madrid as new coach gets baptism of fire in USA tour

Former Bayern Munich manager Flick succeeded Xavi as Barca boss last month, as the Spanish giants seek to win trophies once more after finishing this season empty handed. Now, the club have revealed the Blaugrana will take on City in Orlando on July 30, followed by his first Clasico game in New Jersey against Real Madrid on August 4. Then round off the tour with a clash against AC Milan three days later in Maryland.

Flick has a big task on his hands. Xavi was dismissed by Barca after a tumultuous few months, as rivals Madrid romped to the La Liga title and the Champions League. Knocking them off the top of the pile will not be easy, especially with their financial problems, so a good pre-season may go a long way to having a successful 2024-25.

Flick helped guide Germany to 2014 World Cup success as an assistant manager under Joachim Low and won two Bundesliga titles and the Champions League during a successful spell as Bayern boss between July 2021 and September 2023.

Flick will likely link up with Barca's players - excluding those who are away at the Euros or the Copa America - for the start of their pre-season campaign in the coming weeks.
