So Andy Robertson described Sunday as a final, and Jurgen Klopp said tonight's win over Burnley was a semi-final. He told Sky Sports: "It was a semi-final. We had to win the semi-final and we did. Nothing is decided yet but we improved our position and we have the final. That's what we needed. It's what we deserve because this was a top performance. "You can't give any chance away against Burnley because of the way they play. They wanted to go for our centre-halves but our boys did outstandingly well. Minutes after his departure from West Brom was confirmed, Sam Allardyce released a statement outlining his reasons for stepping down. "West Brom made me a generous offer to stay at The Hawthorns that shows the commitment of an ambitious club. After serious consideration I have decided not to accept that offer," he said. "If I were to stay and achieve promotion next season the expectation would be for me to continue for at least another season and, sadly, that is not a commitment I feel able to make at this stage of my career. "I believe the club now needs stability and continuity and this would, in my opinion, best be provided by a young and ambitious manager who can get us back to where we should be as an established Premier League football club."

Allardyce reveals reasons behind Baggies departure

Liverpool defender says Sunday's final day clash with Crystal Palace is like a cup final as they close in on a Champions League place. "Of course we feed off pressure," he told Sky Sports.&nbsp;"It's a massive club and fans demand results. We have hit form at the right time. Sunday is a final effectively for us, Leicester and Chelsea. "We have given ourselves a chance when a lot of people had written us off. But we need to make sure our performance is of the highest level [against Crystal Palace]."

Some breaking managerial news: West Brom have confirmed that Sam Allardyce will step down at the end of the season. Allardyce replaced Slaven Bilic in December but was unable to save them from the drop -&nbsp;the first Premier League relegation of his managerial career.

Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed&nbsp;Eberechi Eze faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after suffering an Achilles injury in training. "To see that happen, in such a freak situation, it is almost impossible to understand how it happened," he told BT Sport.&nbsp; "Then for it to be such a serious injury, we are all absolutely devastated for Eze. He is a strong young man, resilient and he will come back stronger.”

Sergio Reguilon has just put the ball into the top corner, the only problem is it is into his own net! A cross came from the left and&nbsp;as Reguilon attempted to clear with his right foot he only succeeded in slicing the ball beyond Lloris!
