Wrexham close to finalising transfer for SIXTH ex-Premier League star in summer window as Ryan Reynolds & Rob McElhenney continue to splash cash

Burkina Faso international Kabore, who has 49 caps for his country at 24 years of age, is tied to a contract at Premier League giants Manchester City through to the summer of 2027. He is, however, yet to make a competitive appearance for the Blues.

Kabore moved to Manchester from Belgian side KV Mechelen in 2020, with his potential being spotted early by City. Much of his experience to date has been picked up during a series of loan spells.

The promising defender has spent time with Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica and Werder Bremen, with nine Bundesliga appearances taken in last season after moving to Germany for the second half of the 2024-25 campaign. Kabore featured 24 times in the Premier League for Luton during their 2023-24 Premier League campaign, which ended in relegation.

According to GIVEMESPORT, Kabore has been identified as a target for Wrexham ahead of the next transfer deadline passing. The ambitious Red Dragons, who are now turning out in the Championship, have already acquired Callum Doyle from City this summer.

Kabore boasts Premier League experience from his time at Luton, with 24 top-flight outings taken in with the Hatters. Phil Parkinson wants the energetic right-back to add greater depth to his ranks, with Hollywood co-owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney continuing to make funds available for notable additions - with Premier League pedigree having already been found in Danny Ward, Lewis O’Brien, Conor Coady, Nathan Broadhead and Kieffer Moore.
