    Hammers supporters had arrived for a derby meeting with the Gunners full of hope, and took the opportunity to poke fun at former captain Declan Rice early on. Their mood quickly soured, with David Moyes’ side collapsing in spectacular style.

    William Saliba broke the deadlock in the 32nd minute, with Bukayo Saka then converting from the penalty spot. A flurry of three goals in the space of six minutes saw Gabriel Magalhaes and Leandro Trossard also get in on the act.
