VIDEO: Kyle Walker sends 50th birthday message & special gift to David Beckham as current England star follows in Man Utd legend’s footsteps at San Siro

Ex-England captain Beckham reached a notable milestone on May 2. He is now based in the United States, with Lionel Messi forming part of the star-studded squad that has been assembled at MLS outfit Inter Miami.

Beckham spent time in America with the LA Galaxy in his playing days, while also representing United, Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain and AC Milan. The No.32 shirt he wore at San Siro is now being filled by Walker.

A Three Lions star of the present, who moved to Italy from Manchester City in the winter transfer window of 2025, is proud to be following in illustrious footsteps and has a signed ‘Beckham 50’ shirt that is ready to be passed on to one of the most iconic sporting figures of the modern era.

Walker said in a message sent on behalf of everyone at AC Milan: "Obviously it is your birthday - the big 50. I just wanted to wish you personally, from me, a happy birthday. Obviously with being at Milan, wearing your shirt - I wear it with great pride after what you’ve done, especially for football in general, at every club that you’ve played at.

"The Milan family can definitely say they really appreciate you here. Your name speaks volumes to everyone in the footballing world. From me personally and everyone at Milan, I just want to wish you a happy 50th birthday and hope you have a good one."

Beckham took in two loan spells with the Rossoneri, in 2009 and 2010, during his days on the Galaxy’s books. He is still fondly remembered at San Siro and will be watching on as the class of 2025 try to secure Coppa Italia glory on May 14.
