VIDEO: 'I need to win again' - Juventus star Alisha Lehmann links up with Maya Jama to manage Baller League team ahead of launch in the UK

Switzerland international Lehmann boasts Baller League experience from the inaugural staging of the competition in Germany. The tournament, which was founded by World Cup winners Lukas Podolski and Mats Hummels, features six-a-side matches.

Celebrity coaches are chosen to lead the teams taking part, with Lehmann seeing her Streets United side emerge victorious in 2024. She is determined to replicate that success after teaming up with Love Island host Jama – who is currently dating Manchester City defender Ruben Dias.

Announcing their shock partnership in a social media video, Jama is seen calling Lehmann and saying: “Alright. Let’s do this! Alisha, it’s done. Pack your bags.” Lehmann responds with: “We are coming to London! Let’s go. I need to win again.”

Lehmann and Jama have become the first all-female management team. Lionesses star Chloe Kelly has already been confirmed as a coach, alongside Arsenal legend Ian Wright. Baller League UK gets underway on March 10, as the draft to determine who plays for which team is held.
