Trophy at Old Trafford! Teenage wonderkid Luke Littler to parade World Darts Championship at Man Utd after special guest invite

The teenage wonderkid has conquered his chosen profession at the age of 17 – a year on from bursting onto the sporting scene with a fairy-tale run to the final on his Alexandra Palace debut. Littler landed the most prestigious of prizes in 2025 after seeing off Michael van Gerwen in a 7-3 thriller.

Littler is a boyhood United fan and has previously been gifted a signed shirt after taking on first-team stars Alejandro Garnacho, Harry Maguire and Christian Eriksen in a training ground game of darts. He will now get the chance to grace fabled turf at the Theatre of Dreams.

According to the Daily Mail, the Red Devils have invited Littler to be a special guest of the club at an upcoming Premier League home game. A meeting with Brighton on January 19 is considered to be the most likely option, given Littler’s upcoming commitments at the Bahrain Masters and Dutch Masters.

Littler, who received a “well done” message from United legend David Beckham on the back of his World Championship triumph, will get to show off the Sid Wadell Trophy in front of fans who are longing for more tangible success of their own this season – with Ruben Amorim having inherited managerial reins from Carabao Cup and FA Cup-winning predecessor Erik ten Hag.
