After losing out to arch-rivals Celtic in the title race, Rangers have now stepped up their search for a new permanent manager and have reportedly kept Gerrard in their long list of head coach candidates, according to The Telegraph. The report adds that the club are also considering names like former Wolves boss Gary O’Neil, ex-Luton Town manager Rob Edwards and Russell Martin, who had a loan spell at Rangers as a player before managing at MK Dons, Swansea and Southampton. There are no favourites in the race as the Scottish club wants to carefully analyse before making their final call.
