Gnabry’s display in Bayern’s 3-1 win over Chelsea further underlined his return to form this season. He added: “The important thing is that he’s fully fit again and has great quality. We know what we have in him. He’s an outstanding character and can currently deliver. The other issues will come later.”

The former Arsenal players' contract runs until 2026, but the Bavarians are now leaning towards offering him new terms to reflect his revived status. His current form, coupled with his ability to adapt in multiple attacking roles, has turned him from a player on the fringes into one of Kompany’s most reliable performers. At 30, consistency and fitness remain key, but his performances suggest he still has plenty to give.
