  • WHAT HAPPENED?

It has been revealed by Vanessa Sandora, the beautician behind a recent late night confrontation from Jorginho's fiancee, Catherine Harding, that missing bracelets may have been a factor in his Chelsea exit in January of 2023. Apparently, having seemingly lost a pair of blessed bands, his form dipped, followed by a transfer across London to Arsenal.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

The reason it has been dug up comes from Harding's visit to Sandora's home, with Jorginho having met up with the latter several years ago while already in a relationship. Harding, who stars alongside Jorginho in the Amazon Prime Video reality series Married to the Game, wanted answers and the pair had a "frank chat, woman-to-woman", in which she was assured any contact was long since over.

  • WHAT VANESSA SANDORA SAID

Of the missing jewellery, Sandora told The Sun: "At one of our meetings, Jorginho took off his beaded bracelets. He left them behind. I didn't think much about it. I heard he wanted them back but I couldn't find them anywhere. Afterwards his form for Chelsea dipped and I was told by friends he blamed the fact he wasn't wearing his lucky bracelets. Apparently they'd been blessed in a church. Without them he felt he wasn't the same player.

“After our third meeting, we continued to message. But we didn't meet again and I deleted Jorginho from social media in December 2022. I thought that was the end of it."

    WHAT NEXT?

Jorginho, who became engaged to Harding in 2023, will undoubtedly want the attention to be back on football. His role with Arsenal this season has been as a backup player, starting only five times in the Premier League and left an unused substitute in the majority of games. But with a busy fixture list that will see Mikel Arteta's side play nine games in January alone, depth is going to be vitally important.
