  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Davies has been a long-term target for Los Blancos who are keen on bolstering their backline. The club dealt with several injuries in that department with Dani Carvajal and Eder Militao out with long-term injuries. While David Alaba is slowly regaining his fitness, Lucas Vazquez recently returned to the starting lineup.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

Real, at one point, were very closely linked with a move for Davies, whose current contract at Allianz Arena expires at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. Cadena SER, however, reports that the Bavarian club have already approached the Canadian with two new contract offers. While the full-back is yet to commit his future to the Bundesliga side, it is believed that he is slowly considering the idea of staying at the club.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

The report also adds that the Spanish champions are now considering stepping up their pursuit of Liverpool star Alexander-Arnold as they do not want to waste time over bidding wars for Davies. Instead, they are preparing a concrete offer to sign the English defender as early as January if he does not agree to pen a new Reds deal by this month.
