New coach for Christian Pulisic? AC Milan set target for Stefano Pioli as questions are asked of injury record – with USMNT forward among those ruled out

The Rossoneri savoured Serie A title glory in 2021-22, but backwards steps have been taken since then. In the present, Milan have won just one of their last six games in all competitions – and none in the Italian top flight since October 7.

According to Tuttosport, talks are planned regarding the direction in which Milan’s season is heading. The club have suffered 24 injuries this season – with USMNT star Pulisic among those currently ruled out of action – and there may be changes in the fitness and managerial department.

Matteo Osti is Milan’s current fitness coach, with questions being asked of why so many setbacks are being suffered on the injury front. Pulisic will not be heading off with the United States during the current international break as he works his way back from a hamstring complaint.

It is suggested that the Rossoneri will give serious consideration to a change in the dugout if victories prove elusive against Fiorentina and Borussia Dortmund when club action resumes. Pioli – who is working on a contract through to 2025 - has been set targets in domestic and Champions League competition, with it now up to him to deliver.
