    WHAT HAPPENED?

Wrexham began their League One campaign with a win against Wycombe Wanderers as they look to attain back-to-back-to-back promotions and ultimately reach the Premier League. The Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-owned club have already signed the likes of Arthur Okonkwo, George Dobson and Ollie Rathbone alongside four others in preparation for the League One season but may not be done spending yet.

  • THE BIGGER PICTURE

Wrexham took on Championship side Sheffield United on Wednesday in the first round of the FA Cup and lost 4-2 last time out in a result which perhaps highlighted the need for further reinforcements. Parkinson has revealed that he's not unhappy with his squad but made it clear he already has targets in mind and would like further additions.

    WHAT PARKINSON SAID

Speaking to the media, Parkinson said: "I don't think we are a million miles off in terms of the numbers where we want to be. Obviously we are always looking if we can add a player or two of quality.

"We know the players we would like; we will keep trying to get the player or players in and if we do, great. If not, we have got a strong squad and we will go with what we've got.

Parkinson added: "When we target a player, we decide on where we feel that valuation is and more often than not we stick to it. That's what we will continue to do."
