  • Sancho on loan at Dortmund
  • Man Utd to pocket €5m
  • Permanent move unlikely
  • WHAT HAPPENED?

Sancho joined Dortmund on loan in January after falling out with United manager Erik ten Hag at the start of the season. While the winger has been something of a flop for the Red Devils since his £73 million ($93m) move from the German side in 2021, they will make some of that back with this loan fee. According to Sky in Germany, with Dortmund qualifying for the Champions League final, United will receive £4.25m (€5m/$5.4m) rather than £2.9m (€3.5m/$3.8m).

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

However, while Sancho feels right at home at Dortmund - after struggling to make an impact at Old Trafford - the report adds that a permanent move from United looks unlikely as they are demanding too much money for the England international. However, there are talks scheduled for after the Champions League final.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Sancho scored 50 goals and bagged 64 assists in 137 games for Dortmund but for United he managed just 12 goals and six assists in 82 appearances. This term, he has six goal contributions in 20 matches for BVB on loan.
