Liverpool target Omar Marmoush matching Harry Kane with rare form as Egypt star plays crucial role in Eintracht Frankfurt's unbelievable 7-2 annihilation of Bochum

Marmoush has been in excellent form for Frankfurt this season, continuing his bright start by scoring once and assisting twice as they demolished Bochum. Saturday's goals put him level with Bayern striker Kane's output of 16 goals and assists across the first nine games. Marmoush's electric form has attracted attention from Liverpool, who reportedly see him as a possible replacement for fellow Egypt hero Mohamed Salah.

In nine Bundesliga games this season, Marmoush has been unstoppable, registering 10 goals and six assists. However, Kane has had a similarly hot start to the season, scoring 11 and assisting five more. The England striker will not be entirely happy, though, as his combined tally of goals and assists after nine matches last season was 17.

Marmoush has scored more than twice as many goals as any of his team-mates in the Bundesliga and has provided by far more assists than anyone else, too. His performances have been crucial in lifting his side to third place in the table.

Sitting six points behind Kane's league leader Bayern, Frankfurt will be satisfied with their progress. Their next game sees them take on Slavia Prague in the Europa League, before they take on last season's surprise package Stuttgart in the league.
