Lionel Messi & David Beckham have Erling Haaland considering MLS future as Manchester City striker leaves door open for U.S. transfer

The Norwegian frontman has no intention of chasing the American dream any time soon, with a remarkable 10-year contract being committed to at the Etihad Stadium. There is plenty of Premier League and Champions League action for him to take in for now.

Record books are likely to be rewritten there, with Haaland just 25 years of age. He has already hit 124 goals for City through 146 appearances, across three seasons, with that haul including 85 efforts in the English top-flight.

Haaland has already won just about everything in Manchester, but still has plenty of targets that he would like to hit. He will not be considering another change of scenery until the time comes for a new challenge to be embraced.

When that day comes, Haaland concedes that he may be tempted to head for the United States. Quizzed by TIME on whether he can see himself in MLS, the prolific striker said: "You never know what the future is going to bring. What Messi is doing now is incredible. Also what Beckham did, it’s amazing."

Argentine GOAT Messi is currently on the books of Inter Miami, who are co-owned by Beckham. The Manchester United and England legend spent time in MLS as a player with the LA Galaxy.
