Kingsley Coman clear on his future as Bayern Munich winger reveals Vincent Kompany told him to stay

Ex-Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain winger Coman addressed transfer rumours ahead of Bayern’s Club World Cup match against Boca Juniors. The French winger stated clearly that he wants to stay at the club and referenced head coach Kompany’s faith in him.

The 29-year-old has long been viewed as a valuable asset for the Bavarians, but persistent speculation amid reported interest from Saudi clubs has raised questions about his future. With Kompany looking to rebuild and reaffirm the squad’s strength, keeping experienced players like Coman is vital.

“I said I’d like to stay,” Coman told Sky Sport Germany. “I have two years left on my contract, that’s simple. And football is like this: If you have a contract and you feel good, you can stay. The coach always said: 'I need you, I need you fit, I need you good.'"

Kompany later said to the channel: "Kingsley has always played an important role for me."

Bayern face Boca Juniors in their next Club World Cup fixture, with Coman expected to play a key role. While the Bundesliga side continue to explore transfer options and sporting director Max Eberl returns to Germany, Coman’s commitment is a positive sign for the club’s stability and future under Kompany.
