Arch-rivals Galatasaray are also tracking the 29-year-old, reportedly offering between €10m (£8.5m/$11.5m) and €12m (£10m/$13.5m) annually in net wages. The Istanbul derby may soon play out in the transfer market, with both Turkish heavyweights jostling to secure the services of the talented winger.

Meanwhile, clubs from Saudi Arabia continue to watch developments closely and are believed to be contemplating a sizeable financial package that could challenge even the most lucrative European bids. Although none have made formal offers yet, their presence in the background adds another layer of intrigue to Sane’s decision-making process.

Premier League side Arsenal are also in the mix, keeping tabs on the situation.
