Finally a trophy for Harry Kane! Bayern star to miss Hoffenheim clash through injury but will make trip to pick up Bundesliga award

The England captain will almost certainly not feature in the game after sustaining a back injury in the 2-1 Champions League semi-final second leg defeat to Real Madrid. However, TZ report that he will be presented with Kicker's prestigious cannon-shaped award to celebrate the Bundesliga's top scorer after bagging 36 goals in his debut season.

Kane's incredible goal tally is 10 larger than Stuttgart's Serhou Guirassy in second place, hence why the accolade will be presented even with a match still left to play. The Bayern ace will reportedly not fly with the rest of the team on Friday and is instead set to make his own way to Hoffenheim's ground on match day.

While Kane has been Europe's most prolific forward this season, his collection of 36 strikes is still five fewer than Robert Lewandowski's Bundesliga record tally of 41, achieved in just 29 games during the 2020/21 campaign.

After finishing way behind unbeaten German champions Bayer Leverkusen and failing to lift any other silverware in a Bayern shirt, a real rarity for the Bavarians, Kane's focus will now be on recovering for Euro 2024. England are one of the favourites to go all the way at the tournament, alongside the likes of France and Portugal.
