Bayern Munich boosted their hopes of finishing in the top eight of the league phase with a win over 10-man PSG.
Kingsley Coman was Bayern's most threatening player in the first half and the Frenchman nearly opened the scoring in the 28th minute, but he couldn't keep his effort down after beating three defenders.
The hosts didn't have to wait much longer to take the lead, though. PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, starting ahead of Gianluigi Donnarumma, flapped at a brilliant Joshua Kimmich corner and Kim Min-jae had the easy task of heading the ball in.
Bayern continued to threaten, with Kimmich and Leroy Sane going close, and the half-time whistle came as a welcome relief to a poor PSG side.
The French side haven't won in the Champions League since their opening-round victory over Girona and their task of securing all three points at the Allianz Arena was made significantly more challenging when Ousmane Dembele, booked in the first half for dissent, received a second yellow card in the 57th minute for a foul on Alphonso Davies. It could be argued whether the foul warranted another booking, but the winger will have regrets about making such a challenge in Bayern's own area.
Vincent Kompany's side didn't do enough to score a second - Harry Kane, who scored a hat-trick last Friday, was extremely quiet - and they adopted a pragmatic approach late on, but they'll be pleased to secure all three points with three league phase games remaining.
