Another blow for Harry Kane & Bayern Munich! New signing Sacha Boey immediately sidelined with injury for struggling Bundesliga champions

Bayern have been in poor form in recent weeks, losing to Bayer Leverkusen 3-0 last weekend, and then being beaten 1-0 by Lazio in the Champions League last-16 first leg. Now, they have been dealt a blow as Boey, a January signing from Galatasaray, faces weeks out after tearing his hamstring.

Boey was signed for a fee of €30 million (£25m) plus €5m (£4m) in add-ons in January and has since made just two Bundesliga appearances, with his only start coming in the defeat to Leverkusen. However, his injury robs Thomas Tuchel of a useful rotation option.

The 23-year-old is a France U21 international but has never played for the senior team, and one has to think his move to Bayern was partly motivated by his desire to win a full cap. However, his injury issues may now put a pause on those hopes.

Bayern are next in action on Sunday against Bochum. They are currently five points behind Leverkusen, so a win is desperately needed for Tuchel's side.
