Germany accused of being 'paranoid' as Julian Nagelsmann implements extreme measures to stop spies stealing Euro 2024 tactics

Germany have been in fine form at Euro 2024, winning their group-stage clashes against Scotland and Hungary before easing past Denmark in their last-16 tie. Die Mannschaft are now taking extreme measures to avoid being spied on and having their tactics stolen as per Bild, via the Daily Mail, who have labelled the side as 'paranoid'.

As per the report, the German national team hosts its training sessions at the Adidas site in Herzogenaurach, Bavaria and have put up two large fences covered with black tarpaulin to avoid their training sessions being seen by outsiders. The camp is also bordered by police on horse back to avoid any chance of the tactics being overheard.

In addition, Naglesmann's staff are also said to be playing loud music on their phones to prevent spies from listening in on their tactics.

Germany also did the same during the 2022 Qatar World Cup when they put strict restrictions on the players and their training facilities to avoid having their tactics read. However, they fell off in the group stages following a disappointing loss to Japan.

Nagelsmann's men will take on the super strong Spanish national team up next in what has been dubbed by fans as the 'pseudo-final'. The two sides will face off on Friday, July 5.
