Afterwards, as PSG enjoyed wild celebrations on the back of their first European Cup triumph, Khabib joined YouTube sensation IShowSpeed in speaking with Jamie Carragher, Thierry Henry and Micah Richards on the CBS panel.

He greeted each former footballer individually, along with American streamer Speed, but declined a handshake from Scott in an awkward exchange that saw an outstretched arm quickly reeled back in. Khabib explained why he was unable to shake the hand of Scott - who is married to boxing trainer Malik Scott - and the 43-year-old presenter offered her apologies on air.
THE EXPLANATION
Khabib, who was born in the Russian republic of Dagestan, is a devout Sunni Muslim. It is forbidden in Islamic law for believers to touch a member of the opposite sex that they are not related to.
