Three of Messi’s assists against the New York Red Bulls were for Suarez, with Negri saying of what it is like to work with two players that are always on the same wavelength: “It’s crazy how they understand each other. It’s a pleasure watching them play and to see them motivated, for us, it’s very important. Having these kinds of players as they are and trusting them here will lead to big things”

Argentine defender Negri has been seeing regular game time of late, as first-choice left-back Jordi Alba recovers from injury, and will be hoping to enjoy considerable success alongside Messi and Suarez as they chase down MLS Cup honours and more major silverware across domestic and continental cup competitions.
