  • WHAT HAPPENED?

The Serbian striker earns €12 million (£10m/$13m) after tax and would like to earn a severance pay of €10m (£8m/$11m) should Juventus want to cancel his contract, according to La Repubblica. Milan have offered Vlahovic a salary package €6m (£4m/$5m) but the offer has failed to convince the Serbian.

    THE BIGGER PICTURE

With only one year remaining on his contract with Juventus, Vlahovic has refused to accept a new deal with an €8m (£7m/€9m) salary, and the Turin side are now determined to sell him to prevent him leaving for free next summer. New AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri, who worked with the player at Juventus, would like to bring Vlahovic to San Siro but, as well as his salary demands, they would have to meet Juventus’ €25m (£22m/$29m) asking price.

  • DID YOU KNOW?

Vlahovic’s €10m demand would see him take half and the other €5m go to his agent. However, this contradicts Juventus' recent policy of avoiding large agent commissions. The club stuck to this stance during the Jonathan David deal, agreeing to a much lower fee than initially requested by his representatives.

WHAT NEXT FOR VLAHOVIC AND JUVENTUS ?

Vlahovic and his entourage must find a quick solution to the problem so that he can either commit his future to Juventus or seek a move elsewhere. Juventus however have seemed to planned ahead by signing David and are expected to meet with Paris Saint-Germain to discuss a deal for Randal Kolo Muani.
