    The England international, who is based in west London at Stamford Bridge, made a point of passing through the largest street party in Europe as that event descended on Kensington once again over the August Bank Holiday weekend.

    Palmer decided to go incognito when joining revellers in the affluent Chelsea suburb, with the 23-year-old playmaker paying homage to his Caribbean roots at a festival which celebrates and showcases the diverse culture that exists in that part of the world.

    Palmer’s grandfather was born on the island of St Kitts, with the Chelsea No.10 making a first trip to that region - alongside his father - after helping the Blues to FIFA Club World Cup glory in the United States.

    Palmer was able to visit Notting Hill Carnival after sitting out Chelsea’s latest Premier League game - which saw them thrash London rivals West Ham 5-1 - with an injury that he suffered during the warm-up.
