Mikel Arteta's side have endured some miserable Champions League ties with the Bavarians in the past, infamously falling on the wrong side of some heavy defeats, including two 5-1 hammerings in 2017. This time, though, there might be room for optimism. The Gunners are humming, and Bayern are looking as weak as ever. It might just be time to exorcise some demons.

It keeps getting worse for ThomasTuchel. The German manager was supposed to be the Bavarians' saviour when he was hired just over a year ago. Bayern's attention now turns to the Champions League. Tuchel's men will face Arsenal in the first leg of their quarter-final tie on Tuesday, where they will look to replicate previous victories over the north Londoners in the competition. It would seem they could not have picked a worse time for the tie to come, though, with Arteta's side in scintillating form and in with a realistic chance of winning the Premier League title.
