Arsenal target Brian Brobbey fuels transfer talk as Ajax striker drops major hint over possible Premier League move

Brobbey has been linked with a summer move after a superb season at Ajax in which he scored 22 goals and registered 12 assists in all competitions. Arsenal have been reported to hold an interest in the striker, along with Newcastle United's Alexander Isak, and the Dutchman has now talked up the prospect of a transfer.

Brobbey is a one-time Netherlands international and his contract with Ajax runs until 2027, leaving the club with plenty of protection in terms of the fee they can demand. In addition to naming Arsenal as a dream destination, Brobbey also mentioned their bitter north London rivals Spurs, as well as Manchester United, in a move that may not endear him to many Gooners.

Brobbey was asked about his ideal next club and replied: “Real Madrid, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, those are nice clubs. But, if I stay at Ajax, that is certainly not a punishment.”

It remains to be seen if bids are tabled for Brobbey this summer or how much Ajax would demand, but it seems there is genuine interest from north London. The 22-year-old has made a total of 119 appearances for the club, scoring 49 goals.
