    THE BIGGER PICTURE

According to BBC Sport, fate at the City Ground will be discovered in the next few days. After a hearing on March 7 and 8, the Reds were expected to have been informed of any action before now. The Premier League has delayed an official announcement despite regulations stating that the commission must "provide its decision, together with written reasons, within one week of the conclusion of the hearing".

    WHAT NEXT?

Forest have appointed a leading sports lawyer to argue their case, but anything more than a three-point penalty would drop them below Luton and into the Premier League's bottom three. Everton are waiting on a potential second points deduction relating to their accounts through to the end of the 2022-23 campaign.
