Ange Postecoglou back in the Premier League?! Nottingham Forest plot move to appoint former Spurs boss amid Nuno Espirito Santo uncertainty

Per The Sun, Forest are interested in appointing Postecoglou to replace Espirito Santo, who appeared to take a public swipe at Marinakis on Friday, as he claimed their relationship "had changed". Marinakis even confronted his Forest manager on the pitch last season, but with Postecoglou keen to return to the Premier League, Forest are lining up a swoop. 

Postecoglou won the Europa League but he could only guide Spurs to a 17th-placed finish in the Premier League last season. Nevertheless, he has emerged as a target, having previously turned down a move to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia. 

Postecoglou is seeking an immediate return to action after his sacking at the end of last season. He has been replaced at Spurs by Thomas Frank but the Australian is seemingly settled in England. 

Forest play Crystal Palace on Sunday. The club kicked off their Premier League season with a 3-1 win over Brentford.
