Sundowns expect Ngele and Malajila back at Chloorkop in July

Mamelodi Sundowns have provided an update on nine of their players who were sent out on loan at the beginning of the season. 

According to a statement released by the African champions on Tuesday, both Mogakolodi Ngele and Cuthbert Malajila will report back to Chloorkop at the end of their loan deals with Bidvest Wits. 

Sundowns revealed that Gavin Hunt has not exercised the option to keep the two attacking players beyond June this year.

The news will come as a surprise to many football fans as the Students claimed that Ngele and Malajila were signed on permanent deals soon after their moves from Sundowns.  

The Tshwane giants also confirmed interest in several players, including Abel Mabaso, Abdul Razak Fiston, Khayelihle Shozi and Sphelele Mkhulise. 

They also confirmed that they have opened talks with Platinum Stars over the services of Bonginkosi Ntuli. 

Here is the statement released by Sundowns on their official website:  

Bonginkosi Ntuli: Platinum Stars have shown interest in keeping the big forward on a permanent deal. The two clubs have begun talks.

Rheece Evans: The lanky defender will most likes stay on loan to Ajax Cape Town for a further year, since there’s an option in the loan agreement between the Clubs.

Abel Mabaso: There is interest in the player, also currently on loan to Ajax Cape Town from other PSL teams but a decision will be taken on the player at the end of the season.

Cuthbert Malajila & Mogakolodi Ngele: The duo currently with Bidvest Wits will have no choice but to report back to Chloorkop after the last league match. Coach Gavin Hunt has not exercised the option to keep the two players on a permanent deal, as they seem not to be in his plans for the following season.

Mario Booysens: Supersport United and Mamelodi Sundowns are expected to begin talks regarding player’s future.

Abdul Razak Fiston: There’s interest in the player from PSL and teams abroad. A decision is also expected on the player soon

Khayelihle Shozi & Sphelele Mkhulise: The two Sundowns academy products have already helped Black Leopards secure a playoff spot but there is also a huge PSL interest in the services. A decision on the duo will be taken after the playoffs.
