Having recently joined Mamelodi Sundowns on Wednesday, striker Emiliano Tade has made his mark at Chloorkop and coach Pitso Mosimane is impressed with the former AmaZulu hitman.
The 30-year-old made his debut for the Brazilians on Friday night and netted the team's third goal against ASEC Mimosas in their Caf Champions League group match in Tshwane, leaving Mosimane with a challenge when it comes to a suitable role for the new striker.
“The biggest challenge for me is where to play him because he is not a winger. He is not a No.9. He is a No.10, and Gaston Sirino is playing really well as a No.10 for us,” said Mosimane after the 3-1 win over Mimosas.
The Argentine marksman only arrived in South Africa at the beginning of the current season and has impressed many with his eye for goal.
Although Mosimane said he is unsure if the new signing will take over from Uruguay’s Sirino as a No.10, it looks like Tade will be used more as a target man.

“He comes with a lot of experience and a lot of goals. The most important aspect is to fit in the team,” he said.
Moreover, ’Jingles’ said he is happy with the lanky striker’s composure as he made his introduction to the Masandawana fans with clever touches and a goal.
“You can’t ask for more from Emiliano. 10 minutes on the pitch and he looks like he has been playing for Sundowns for long, never mind the goal,” continued Mosimane.
“He is composed and he knows how to play football. He is a typical South American. What a way of introducing yourself to the team!” concluded the PSL winner.
Meanwhile, Sundowns will now shift focus to Black Leopards whom they face in the league on Wednesday night, and will, therefore, prepare to jet out of the country to honour their return match in Abidjan on Tuesday, February 12.
