THE BIGGER PICTURE
Hernandez had initially rejected Al-Hilal’s advances but changed his stance after failing to secure a move within Europe. Atletico Madrid had tried to bring him back to the Spanish capital, but negotiations with Milan broke down. With his contract set to expire in 2026, Milan prioritised a sale to prevent losing him for free next year.
