'There's only one person!' - Darts sensation and boyhood Man Utd fan Luke Littler reveals dream of meeting Cristiano Ronaldo

Littler's rise over the past year and seen him enter some famous circles, meeting many professional footballers including Premier League stars James Maddison, Declan Rice and Aaron Ramsdale. But there's only one player that the 17-year-old darts sensation is desperate to meet: five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo.

It's hardly a surprise that Littler wants to meet Ronaldo considering his love for United. Indeed, he wears his heart on his sleeve like any passionate supporter and called for United to bring David de Gea back after Andre Onana's recent struggles against Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League.

"There's only one person who I'd like to meet and that's Cristiano Ronaldo," Littler told Katie Catherall at the BBC's Sports Personality of the Year ceremony, where the teenager won the Young Sports Personality of the Year award after finishing runner-up at the 2024 PDC World Darts Championship.

It seems unlikely that Ronaldo will be returning to Old Trafford any time soon given his frosty exit from the club in 2022, so Littler may have to wait for the chance to meet his hero, now plying his trade in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr. Littler's 2025 PDC World Darts Championship campaign gets underway this weekend, and he'll no doubt receive more support from United.
