Why Jamie Carragher was 'annoyed' by Gary Neville's appearance on the Dragons' Den TV show

Gary Neville joined the long-running BBC show for its latest episode. The show sees entrepreneurs pitch their business ventures to the six 'dragons' - one of them now being the former Manchester United defender - in the hope of securing investment. Neville's first show aired on Thursday evening, and his friend and Sky Sports colleague Jamie Carragher was paying close attention.

On Friday morning former Liverpool star Carragher tweeted: "Just catching up on Dragon's Den from last night, and annoyingly @GNev2 was very good."

Since retiring, Neville hasn't just spent his time providing commentary and punditry on Premier League football. The treble winner has established himself as a successful entrepreneur, building a multi-million-pound business empire. After first getting involved in property development when he was 21, Neville founded the Hotel Football chain and has several other Manchester-based projects on the go.

Neville will be back on television screens this weekend, but this time he'll be talking football on Sky Sports, with it likely the ex-United full-back will be on co-commentary duty for Liverpool's trip to Bournemouth on January 21.
