Hamann recently launched a scathing attack on Bayern Munich forward Kane after the club's shock 1-0 defeat against Aston Villa in the Champions League. Kane was heavily criticised for his inability to perform in big games as the ex-Liverpool midfielder claimed that the England captain is yet to justify his €100 million (£84m/$110m) price tag.

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The former Tottenham Hotspur forward broke multiple records and won the Golden Boot award in his maiden season in the Bundesliga. In the current, he is off to a flying start having scored 10 times in eight appearances. Yet his performance has come under scrutiny after he failed to find the back of the net against Bayer Leverkusen in the league last Sunday and then against the Villans in the important Champions League fixture.
