Arsenal have decided to part ways with Thomas Partey once his contract expires on Monday. The Ghanaian midfielder was in talks with the Gunners over signing a new deal but they could not reach an agreement. The 32-year-old was a key part of Mikel Arteta's squad in the 2024-25 campaign, where he made 52 appearances across all competitions and recorded seven goal contributions.
The Athletic reports that Partey will exit Emirates Stadium after spending five seasons at the club. He joined Arsenal in October 2020 from Atletico Madrid and over the years established himself as a key player in the Gunners' roster. He won the Community Shield with the club in 2023.
The Gunners are also reported to be scouting a striker, as they chase RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko and Sporting CP's Viktor Gyokeres. Mikel Arteta is determined to strengthen the team's attack after losing out on the Premier League title race for the third season in a row.
