Mbaye Diagne rescues Kasimpasa from defeat vs. Heracles

Mbaye Diagne was on target as Kasimpasa forced Heracles to a 1-1 stalemate at Sportpark Het Midden in Saturday’s friendly contest.

Having won their previous two warm-up games against Boluspor and Utrecht, the Apaches were aiming for their third consecutive victory in Vriezenveen but were stunned by Kristoffer Peterson’s 33rd-minute effort.

However, the Senegal international saved the day for Kemal Ozdes’ men with his 43rd-minute strike, thus helping them to continue their unbeaten run in pre-season.

The former Tianjin Teda player registered 12 goals in 17 league appearances last season after joining the Turkish outfit in January.

Diagne will be looking to continue the consistency in front of goal when Kasimpasa open their 2018-19 Super Lig campaign against newly promoted side Rizespor on August 11.
