Will Ronaldo play for Juventus in the ICC?

Due to the Portuguese star's commitments at the World Cup, he will miss the mouth-watering opportunity to come up against his former club when Juventus meet Real Madrid at FedEx Field in Maryland on August 4.

Ronaldo joins a host of other World Cup stars who are set to miss a good chunk of pre-season due to being awarded extended time off, with other Juventus stars such as Paulo Dybala not due to link up with the squad until closer to the start of the season.

Ronaldo announced that he would not begin training at Juventus on July 30, but will do so at the club's own training facilities in Italy.

The rest of Juve's pre-season included a 2-0 win over fellow European giants Bayern Munich as part of the International Champions Cup, before a 1-1 draw with Benfica that the Italian side won on penalties.

They then face off against the MLS All-Stars on August 1, finishing up their tour of the United States against Real Madrid three days later.
