For the second straight friendly the U.S. women's team rolled over Chile, with

Mallory Pugh pounced a rebound from a saved penalty in the first half as the U.S. women's national team rolled to a comfortable 3-0 win over Chile on Tuesday night in San Jose, California.

After a 3-0 win over the same opponent on Friday night, the U.S. found itself in a tough contest early on before Pugh's opener.

Chile goalkeeper Christiane Endler even managed to keep out Tobin Heath's penalty, pushing the ball wide but not out of play. A scramble in front of goal followed, with Pugh tapping home to put the U.S. out in front 34 minutes in.

With the resistance broken, Heath made up for her penalty miss four minutes later sliding in to put her side 2-0 in front heading to the break.

Carli Lloyd headed home her 101st career goal in the second half and added another late to make sure the USWNT stayed unbeaten in 2018.

Jill Ellis has now seen her side run to 11 wins with just two draws this season and has not tasted defeat in 21 matches, with the U.S. taking 18 wins in that time.

Next up is the 2018 CONCACAF Women's Championship, where the USWNT will face Mexico, Panama and Trinidad & Tobago.
